Bharat Gupta, CEO

Jagran New Media

Bharat Gupta is the Chief Executive Officer of Jagran New Media, the digital wing of India’s largest print and radio publisher group, Jagran Prakashan Ltd. With more than 2 decades of rich experience to his credit, Bharat has played a crucial role in managing and turning around several media businesses across print, radio, ground activation & digital. With over 100 million users, Jagran New Media (JNM) is amongst the Top Internet Media Groups in India.

In addition to his present role as CEO - Digital, Bharat is also serving as a Director to the INMA South Asia Board (International News & Media Association) and the Misinformation Combat Alliance Association (MCA); he is a Governing Council Member at Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI), on the board of the esteemed International Fact Checking Network (IFCN), and is the founding member of Digital News Publishers Association (DNPA). In 2021, Great Place To Work (GPTW) recognized him as one of India's Best Leaders in Times of Crisis. Bharat has also represented Indian digital media publishers at a wide range of industry forums like WAN-IFRA, YouTube Publishers Forum, GNI, and Newsgeist Asia. He played an instrumental role in the launch of India’s first Hindi fact check website ‘Vishvas.News’, which has since expanded into 12 Languages.

In recognition of his achievements in the industry, he was awarded ‘Youth Achievers Award’ at the Sixth Global Marketing and Social Media Awards, 2014, and under his effective leadership, Jagran New Media has over 18 awards to its credit in the year 2018.

Bharat has previously held the position of Chief Marketing Officer at JNM, prior to which he was the Executive President - Marketing at Dainik Jagran. Being a people-oriented team leader, Bharat is sincerely committed to revolutionizing Indian media by managing high-performing teams and encouraging new-age innovation.

Rajesh Upadhyay

Rajesh Upadhyay is a senior journalist with more than 20 years of ro-bust experience in mainstream journalism. Currently, he is the Editor-in-Chief and Vice President at Jagran New Media. Before joining Jagran New Media, he has had a successful innings spanning a decade at the Bhaskar Group as Editor. In the past, he has also been associated with HT Media where he led their Hindi website 'Hindustan' as an Editor. He is a Postgraduate in Journalism and Mass Communication and is also an alumnus of IIM Indore. He has in-depth knowledge of conceptualization and functioning of Print as well as Digital media. He has demonstrated experience in strategizing content, deploying digital teams and setting up news stations and workflows to achieve measurable results. He is also a certified Google News Initiative Fact-Check and News Verification expert.

Gaurav Arora

Chief Revenue Officer, Jagran New Media

A sales veteran with over 18 years of experience, out of which 15 years have been with Digital Media. In his current role at Jagran New Media, he drives the Revenue- Strategy, Systems & Programmes. His top priority is to accelerate & match revenue growth through Media Sales, Partnerships, Strategic Alliances, Events & Syndications with the exponential user growth that group sites have been witnessing in the last few years. A stickler for perfection, he's been pushing the envelope for driving innovation & value for both external clients and internal stakeholders through pragmatic & holistic monetization strategies in the ever changing digital ecosystem.

Prior to JNM, Gaurav was associated with Times Internet Limited where he started & scaled multiple businesses including Dynamic pricing based e-commerce platform, Mobile monetization for all Times Group sites, Native ads platform & Audience sales. Prior to this, he has also worked with HCL Technologies and General Electric.

Megha Mamgain

Head-Health and Lifestyle Verticals

A respected name and face in the media industry, Megha Mamgain is a journalist with over 15 years of experience in digital and traditional media. At Jagran New Media, Megha heads the Health and Lifestyle verticals. She brings in sophisticated storytelling, engaging tools and her vast expertise in content creation.

OnlyMyHealth.com and HerZindagi.com, Jagran New Media's prime products have been carefully steered, strategized and managed by her. Her flair for engaging interviews, her knack for hooking narratives and her out of the box ideas bring an edge and spark to her products. Leading a high target driven digital newsroom, she ensures high quality, credible content at all costs. With her astute vision, she deploys resources, devices workflows, creates monetizable properties and builds robust brands. Megha was awarded the Most Influential Content Marketing Professional Award 2019 by World Marketing Congress Prior to JNM, Megha worked as a television journalist, news anchor and Executive Producer for brands like CNN-News18 and NDTV. She is a trained Indian Classical singer with a background in theatre and performing arts.

Neha Verma

Head- Human Resources

As Head – Human Resources, Neha brings more than 12 years of experience in the media and IT industry where she has worked with leading conglomerates like Reliance Broadcast Network Ltd, Tech Mahindra and AuthBridge Research Services.

Prior to joining Jagran New Media, Neha worked with Reliance Broadcast Network Ltd as Regional HR Head - North and East.

At Jagran New Media, she has been instrumental in certifying the organization as “Great Place to Work” in the year 2018 and 2019.

A qualified MBA, she brings to the fore a recognition of being an OPQ-certified Assessor.

Garima Sharma

Brand & Marketing

Garima is a media and marketing professional with experience ranging from Media Strategy to auditing and brand building. She heads the brand and marketing role and her expertise lies in developing strategic marketing solutions for the brand and various products. This involves a thorough understanding of the brand objective, brand positioning, consumer insights and market landscape. She also has a considerable experience in fostering collaborations with the brand teams, content creators and broadcasters.
